5 Reasons Why You Need To Be a Life Coach

Here’s the scenario: you are building your business, working towards a career goal and you’ve got a lot on your plate. But you are driven. You’re the type of person who likes to perfect things, you have a keen eye for success. You don’t give up. And so you wonder, what will get you to the next level? To mastery in whatever it is you do or offer the world?

    Become a life coach.

Probably not what you thought. But here’s an example of one of the most well-known and influential children’s authors in the world: J.K. Rowling was actually an English language coach in Portugal before writing The Harry Potter series.

Not to mention Tony Robbins, who had started his career promoting seminars for someone else, but when he decided to use his knowledge to teach and become a life coach, his career soared to now earn over $30 a year as a  motivational speaker, personal finance instructor, and self-help author.

He MADE it instead of WATCHING it happen.

“There are three types of people in this world. Firstly, there are people who make things happen. Then there are people who watch things happen. Lastly, there are people who ask, what happened? Which do you want to be?” -Steve Backley

Here are 5 reasons why becoming a life coach may just be your next career move:

    1. You will implement what you are teaching a lot more. Teaching your trade or skill allows you to remember to implement it in your life even more.
    2. You are helping people. Reaching out and helping others is heart medicine and just feels awesome.
    3. You gain confidence. You don’t have to be perfect or know all the answers to start a coaching career. But as you teach your expertise, you will see how much more confidence you find within yourself.
    4. It can be a successful endeavor. Life coaches make an average of $207 per hour, coaching over the phone, right from the comfort of their own homes.
    5. You don’t have to go to school for 10 years to do it. Being a life coach utilizes your inner tools or knowledge that you already have from the start, without needing to invest years into learning how to do it. You learn as you teach. In fact when you step into the role of the teacher, it actually forces you to understand whatever it is your teaching a lot better, hence adding to your own development while enriching some one else’s.
