5 Easy Ways to Kick Depression to the Curb

    By Amish Shah | blog | 3 comments 0

Do you feel depressed? Do you fear that depression is over taking your life? If you want to defeat that feeling, then keep on reading! The secret to defying depression is hidden in the words that follow.

It is a silent killer that has claimed the lives of millions of people from every part of the world. It can manifest itself in every gender, every color, and every nation. Modern science recognizes this condition and acknowledges its devastating effects but offers no real solution to it.

What is offered is just a way to treat the symptoms, not the condition. All medication does is takes the problem and sweeps it under the carpet.

If Modern Science Is Not the Answer, Then What Is?

First of all, there is no magic formula.

The secret solution hides in the same place where depression is created – WITHIN YOU. It is the same place where all good and bad things meet.

You need to look deep inside if you want to stop this darkness from tearing your soul apart. That is the only key to defeating depression because it manifests within your very soul.

Now, some would think that soul healing is the job for a healer, guru, spiritual teacher, or someone familiar with the mechanisms of the human soul. Even though a guide can provide insight, there is a way to heal yourself that you can do on your own.

There are ways to dip into your soul and reclaim the lightness that is rightfully yours. Reclaim your happiness!

Here Are 5 Simple Steps to Get You Back on Track

    1.Get Outside

The world is a wonderful place and that is a fact. Being stuck in a tiny room all alone has never been the answer. Loneliness and falling out of touch with reality are the first signs of depression.

It is a dark road that won’t do any good for you. In moments of depression those four walls are doing nothing but holding you back. Step out of your comfort zone and go out into reality. Don’t deprive the real world of your presence.

    2.Get Enough Sleep

According to modern science, sleep deprivation is one of the leading causes of depression. By simply getting enough sleep you are taking a big step in the right direction.

It is during sleep that the mind, body and soul rejuvenate themselves. Whether you are faced with major depression or you are simply seeking a change in your mood, improving your sleeping habits is of great significance.

    3.Exercise

When you are feeling down, it can be hard to motivate yourself to exercise. The solution is to just suck it up and get to it. Exercising releases feel-good endorphins into the body and boosts your mood almost instantly.

Don’t listen to the voices in your head questioning the reason for doing it or telling you not to bother. Even just a few minutes of moving your body is better than nothing. When in doubt, sweat it out!

According to a study on fighting depression with exercise, just 15 minutes of exercise per day significantly reduces cortisol levels. It is scientifically proven that exercising battles these stress hormones and helps you feel better almost immediately!

    4.Find Your Passion

Having a strong sense of purpose is the fastest way to get out of depression. It is something that will lift you out of your bed every morning and at the same time will make you feel alive and full of energy.

Everyone is passionate about something; there is no doubt in that. It’s simply a matter of finding your niche and following it. And yes, there is a study that confirms how beneficial it is to have a sense of purpose.

Japanese researchers conducted a scientific study in a small community of elderly people in which they discovered that people with a sense of passion lived up to seven years longer than others on average.

In other words, do what you like doing and you will live a happier, healthier, and longer life!

Sharing is caring! Share if you can see the value in these words.

    5.Say NO to Your Fears

Fear is the number one reason for depression. Fear can make you feel weak and doubtful, which are common symptoms of falling into sadness.

Life is too valuable and short to be lived in fear. Just say no to your doubts! It is the most liberating thing in the world!

Let go of the stories in your head. Don’t let them shape your life and slow you down from living. The less you cling onto them, the better.

One way to deal with your doubts is by simply writing down every fear you have on a piece of paper. Next, take a look at that piece of paper and see how many of those fears make sense? How real are they? You will be stunned from what you discover. Burn the paper and let go of those fears!

There is a great Buddha quote on that reads,“The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you. Depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.” That says it all.

You are a free being who deserves happiness! Let go of your fears and start living your life with purpose.

Sedentary lifestyle is seen as an deficiency of physical movements. Females average 10 feet in length and weigh 2,000 pounds. Why not try an exercise class that provides some resistant training with it.
