As practitioners, we realize the importance of setting personal intentions for peace, liberation, health, and prosperity to flourish in our lives.
Setting intentions for the day and for your life allows you to have a purpose and plan in your mind—which will help you direct yourself toward your goals. Through intention, you can focus your attention on the values and aspirations you want to cultivate.
When we live with intention, we recognize that our feelings provide insight into our true desires. When we create intentions based on our true desires, we start to align with our highest purpose.
Tune into your senses and use them as a guide when crafting your intentions. Get clear in your mind about what it is you want to do and how you want to feel and be.
We challenge you to think about your path in this lifetime, how you want to be and what you want to do?
Go within and ask yourself:
What do I want?
How do I want to feel?
How do I want to be?
What do I want to be?
Once you can clearly visualize your intentions, write them down. Make this a sacred practice. Smudge with sage, light your favorite incense . . . play some music, and write down your clear intentions. Make sure they are affirmative and empowering.
Next, create detailed plan of action with the steps you need to take to move you toward your goals. And don’t forget to take action . . . one step at a time. During meditation, visualize yourself accomplishing your intentions and see everything working out as planned.
You’ll then need to detach from your imagined outcome. This is not as easy as it sounds, but it’s something that we all must do . . . let go. We must relinquish our rigid attachment to a specific result and live in the wisdom of uncertainty.
Be open and allow opportunities to present themselves to you. And when things don’t go as intended, trust that the Universe has your back. There is always a reason for the way things go down.
Return to your intentions on a regular basis; check in by going within to revisit what you wrote; use this practice as a spiritual ritual for yourself as you further align yourself with your highest purpose. And don’t forget to take time to practice gratitude.
And include this powerful, guided meditation in your intention setting practice: Set the Intention for Your Highest Purpose.
